Position Overview:

The Residential Care Coordinator is tasked with overseeing the daily activities of residents within a structured living environment. This role includes ensuring the safety and security of clients in a residential facility, while upholding all established rules, regulations, and policies. Accurate documentation of residents' activities is essential.

Our dedicated team of over 800 healthcare professionals operates across 20 locations, providing a wide array of services including primary care, dental, vision, behavioral health, pharmacy, and substance abuse services.


Program Insight:

Cherry Health offers Person Centered Reentry Services aimed at assisting individuals transitioning from closed custody correctional facilities back into the community. Services are available at our Community Treatment Center (CTC) and Community Alternatives Program (CAP), which provide 24-hour residential treatment along with individual and group counseling.

Participants may come directly from correctional facilities or through diversion programs designed to prevent incarceration. Our mission is to address health concerns and reentry needs such as employment, education, and housing, facilitating successful reintegration into the community.


Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • A valid driver's license is mandatory.
  • CPR certification is essential.
  • Preferred qualifications include an Associate Degree in Human Services or a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or a related field.
  • Experience in correctional science or adult treatment is advantageous.
  • A minimum of three years of direct care experience is preferred.
  • Experience in mental health, substance abuse, or correctional residential programs is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct orientation and intake for all residents.
  • Assist clients with inquiries and concerns.
  • Maintain thorough documentation and contact notes to meet audit standards.
  • Monitor resident activities on campus.
  • Facilitate signing in and out processes for clients.
  • Perform random and scheduled searches of the facility and clients.
  • Conduct urinalysis testing and ensure medication compliance.
  • Distribute resident mail, meals, and transportation tickets.
  • Oversee daily sanitation of resident accommodations.
  • Participate in monthly staff meetings and report any unusual occurrences to supervisors.
