Position Overview

Key Responsibilities:

(The following duties are essential functions of the role and are not an exhaustive list of all responsibilities.)
  1. Greets patients and visitors warmly; addresses inquiries or directs them appropriately; maintains an organized reception area.
  2. Enhances patient satisfaction and optimizes provider time by managing appointment scheduling both in-person and via phone.
  3. Ensures timely patient flow by notifying providers of patient arrivals and communicating any delays to both patients and providers.
  4. Provides comfort to patients by addressing their concerns and answering questions to alleviate anxieties.
  5. Manages patient accounts by collecting, recording, and updating personal and billing information; processes patient payments accurately.
  6. Oversees office supplies and equipment by anticipating needs, placing orders, and confirming receipt of supplies.
  7. Safeguards patient confidentiality by protecting personal and financial information.
  8. Maintains operational standards by adhering to established policies and procedures; reports necessary changes.
Additional Duties That May Be Assigned:
  1. Handles incoming, outgoing, and inter-office mail distribution.
  2. Ensures access to treatment information by organizing and retrieving patient records.
  3. Assists patients in emergency situations by responding promptly to distress calls.
  4. Contributes to team success by achieving related objectives as needed.
Qualifications

Job Requirements:
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Familiarity with software applications and administrative procedures. Strong skills in spelling, grammar, punctuation, and other language competencies. Proficient in data entry, keyboarding, and business communication.
