This role entails the management of service execution across our diverse portfolio of clients, offering support to account management, project execution, and business operations, ensuring that our software development, application management, data analytics, and cloud services adhere to the highest standards of quality and efficiency. The ideal candidate will be a strategic visionary with robust leadership capabilities to foster operational excellence and facilitate our expansion in the federal IT sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and take responsibility for all operational delivery across our clientele in the transportation and homeland security sectors.
- Engage regularly with clients to ensure satisfaction, identify potential risks, and facilitate resolutions with both clients and team members.
- Mitigate organizational friction by comprehending competing resources and priorities, assisting teams in conflict resolution, preparing the organization for new project onboarding, and maintaining operational and delivery excellence in all engagements.
- Provide operational support, leadership, and strategic guidance in the ongoing and future business operations of the organization.
- Lead a growing team of program, project, and technical leaders in delivering top-tier IT services.
- Identify and recruit exceptional talent for our client delivery teams.
- Support, train, and mentor program and project managers to ensure their success in executing their responsibilities.
- Manage all aspects of internal administration, including planning, budget oversight, resource allocation, training, and performance management across the organization.
- Ensure that internal processes are developed, adhered to, and refined as necessary to enhance the internal operations of the firm, contributing to customer service excellence. Provide guidance and oversight for all contract vehicles and awards.
Essential Qualifications:
- Over 10 years of experience in leading and managing operations within a small business in the federal IT landscape.
- An entrepreneurial spirit aimed at business development.
- A well-informed perspective on effective leadership.
- A defined leadership philosophy or methodology.
- Experience collaborating with sales, business development, recruiting, contracts, and finance in securing new contracts and proposals.
- Experience working alongside program managers, project managers, and clients to enhance service delivery and foster customer satisfaction.
- Experience in training and mentoring project and program managers in their roles.
- Proven accountability for profit and loss management.
- Expertise in SaaS/PaaS implementation (notably Salesforce), Agile software development, cloud engineering, DevOps, and cybersecurity.
- A strong grasp of federal regulations and compliance standards.
- Ability to formulate and execute strategic plans while driving operational efficiency.
- Experience in budget management and financial planning.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A demonstrated history of successfully leading business operations in the transportation and/or homeland security sectors.
- PMP certification is a plus.
