Job Summary

Cordish Living is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Director of Operations to lead the day-to-day operations of our luxury apartment community. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for maintaining a professional company image, managing service contracts, and controlling profit and loss.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operations Management: Control the day-to-day operations of the venue within the policies and guidelines set forth by the company.
  • Image and Brand Management: Maintain a professional company image, including restaurant and bar cleanliness, proper uniforms and appearance standards.
  • Vendor Management: Manage service contracts with outside vendors, including consulting agreements, and entertainment vendors.
  • Financial Management: Prepare Ops Statements and other financial disclosures, and take appropriate actions to control profit and loss.
  • Cash Control and Security: Ensure daily deposits have been deposited, safe counts conducted, and venue's cash is secured at all times.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain cost of goods sold, nightly comps, nightly recap reports, and safe audits by overseeing inventory counts.
  • Customer Service: Respond to customer service needs to provide the highest standards of service.
  • Administrative Duties: Complete financial and personnel/payroll related administrative duties accurately, on time, and in accordance with company policies.
  • Team Management: Recruit, interview, and hire team management members; train, supervise, and motivate; take disciplinary action and terminate team management members when necessary.
  • Training and Development: Ensure all staff is properly trained and has the tools and equipment needed to effectively carry out their job functions.
  • Safety and Risk Management: Ensure a safe working and guest environment to reduce the risk of injury and accidents.
  • Community Representation: Represent the venue in a professional manner to the community-at-large, including local businesses, civic organizations, and media.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required; 4-year college degree or equivalent with coursework in restaurant management, preferred.
  • Experience: At least 5 years' experience in restaurant/nightclub management, multi-unit management a plus, and have proven ability to thrive in such an environment.
  • Language Skills: Must speak fluent English, other languages preferred.
  • People Management Skills: Good people management skills, communication, and listening skills.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead a team and communicate efficiently, both verbally and in writing.
  • Adaptability: Must be flexible and adaptable to change.
  • Time Management and Organization: Demonstrated time management and organizational skills.
  • Internal Motivation and Detail Orientation: Must be internally motivated and detail-oriented and have a passion for teaching others.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to perform the following: carrying or lifting items weighing up to 75 pounds, moving about the venue safely and efficiently, handling food, objects, products, and utensils, bending, stooping, and kneeling.
