Mission:

Quantum is on the lookout for a Cybersecurity Compliance Assessor to support the National Cyber Security Operations Center's (NCSOC) Compliance Assessment Services Team (CAST) in executing cybersecurity assessments. In this position, you will analyze policies, procedures, and related practices to evaluate compliance, identifying any deviations from established standards, regulations, and policies. For areas lacking compliance, you will provide actionable remediation recommendations.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize both automated and manual techniques to conduct thorough cybersecurity assessments of client networks, pinpointing deviations from recognized security standards, industry regulations, or internal policies.
  • Collaborate effectively within a team environment, leveraging your expertise to analyze data, review policies, and identify vulnerabilities as part of comprehensive compliance assessments to evaluate the overall security posture of the organization.
  • After completing assessments, work alongside various teams to offer recommendations that aid clients in safeguarding their systems, networks, and data, ultimately enhancing the organization's security posture.
  • Engage in internal research and development initiatives aimed at assessing new tools, analyzing vulnerabilities and countermeasures, and crafting innovative security solutions and strategies.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned, aligned with departmental objectives, client contracts, and the overarching mission of the company.

Requirements:

  • A BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Information Assurance, or a related STEM field is preferred. A combination of 5 years of relevant IT/Cyber Information Assurance, Computer Analyst, or Engineering experience along with industry certifications may substitute for a degree.
  • Proven experience in conducting managerial, technical, and organizational compliance assessments, as well as technical audits in Windows and Linux environments, cloud architecture, IoT devices, and general networking peripherals.
  • Familiarity with standards including, but not limited to, RMF, DFARS, CMMC, HIPAA, CJST, NIST, or similar frameworks.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively to make informed recommendations, document findings clearly, and identify residual risks to assist clients in protecting their systems, networks, and data.
  • In-depth knowledge of Information Systems, common vulnerabilities, typical remediation techniques, and network security principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to research, analyze, and provide recommendations on complex, multifaceted issues.
  • Effective communication skills, capable of presenting information clearly to both internal teams and clients.
  • Desired certifications include Security +, CISSP, CISA, CAP, or CEH.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time, as necessary.
  • Selected candidates will undergo a government security clearance investigation and must meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information. Pre-screening will be conducted prior to employment.
