Role Overview:
Exeter Government Services LLC is on the lookout for a Senior Cybersecurity Assurance Specialist to enhance our support for critical government operations. The successful candidate will play a vital role in managing cybersecurity risks and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Enhance the effectiveness of cybersecurity risk management across diverse environments, addressing complex cyber threats and system vulnerabilities.
2. Lead a dedicated Cyber Team, providing guidance and expertise to improve team knowledge and support client needs.
3. Act as the Information System Security Officer (ISSO), ensuring adherence to security protocols.
4. Apply knowledge of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) to assess and mitigate risks.
5. Utilize tools and data from various stakeholders to conduct comprehensive Risk Assessment Analyses, including:
- Updating risk assessment information in compliance with security classifications.
- Maintaining records of command-owned information systems.
- Analyzing system-level artifacts for compliance with cybersecurity controls.
- Overseeing the development and maintenance of Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms).
- Conducting continuous monitoring of system controls.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to review and enhance system Security Plans.
6. Provide leadership and oversight for daily operations of the Cyber Contractor team, ensuring effective communication and service delivery.
Essential Qualifications:
- Active Secret security clearance (SCI Eligible)
- DoD 8570.1M IAM Level III Certification
- Over 10 years of professional experience in Cybersecurity or IT-related programs
- Bachelor's degree in IT, engineering, or a technical discipline
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Cyber Operations Center management.
- Familiarity with NIST and CNSSI 1253 standards.
- Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in similar roles.
