Position Title: Collections Specialist (Long-term Temporary Assignment)

Compensation: $20.00 per hour, based on experience

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM (initially onsite for training, followed by a hybrid work model)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct outbound and receive inbound communications with customers to:
    • Collect payments on both active and closed accounts through various methods, ensuring exceptional customer service. Outstanding balances may arise from overdue payments, lease-end fees, or deficiency balances from repossessions.
    • Negotiate payment arrangements for customers in need of assistance and follow up on pending actions or expired agreements.
    • Deliver outstanding customer service while managing incoming inquiries from both external and internal stakeholders.
  • Oversee a designated portfolio of accounts.
  • Engage in skip tracing efforts to locate customers and their collateral when necessary, facilitating repossession when appropriate.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to address escalated customer concerns or complaints.
  • Provide insights and suggestions for process enhancements and training materials.
  • Adhere to corporate standards and compliance protocols.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED is required; a Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in customer service or collections is preferred.
  • Familiarity with the automotive sector is advantageous.
