Position Overview:

This role involves providing exceptional support to Brokers, ensuring all policies and key accounts are managed effectively. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality service to agents and insurance companies.

Key Responsibilities:

Below is a summary of the primary functions associated with this position. Additional tasks may be assigned as necessary.

  • Respond swiftly to inquiries from the brokerage team, underwriters, or retailers concerning account service matters.
  • Assist with renewals and endorsements by managing all company communications promptly.
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with clients and underwriters to foster new and ongoing business opportunities.
  • Oversee all account documentation meticulously.
  • Initiate and coordinate renewal processes for assigned accounts.
  • Issue cancellation and non-renewal notifications in accordance with statutory and contractual obligations.
  • Review policies, endorsements, audits, and reporting forms, making necessary adjustments to ensure accuracy.
  • Facilitate communication between agents and underwriters.
  • Maintain a suspense system and follow up on the receipt of policies and correspondence from external sources.
  • Process binders, invoices, and tax filings, ensuring timely forwarding to agents.
  • Monitor financial aspects (payments, collections, taxes) to anticipate and mitigate potential issues.
  • Support Brokers with various tasks as required.
  • Stay informed about developments in the insurance sector.
Qualifications:

Required:

  • Minimum of one year of experience in retail insurance.
  • Possession of a Texas Insurance License.
  • Experience as a Technical Assistant or three years in general insurance.
  • Ability to comprehend and analyze key components of insurance policies.
  • Capability to make independent decisions in line with company policies with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and attention to detail skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the insurance industry.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and tact in all interactions.
  • Leadership skills to positively influence fellow assistants.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in computer and office applications.
  • Willingness to work extended hours when necessary.
Preferred:

  • A college degree in business or equivalent professional experience.

Eligible employees working 20 hours or more per week can access a range of benefits, which may vary by division.
