Company Overview: DONALD PLINER/REBECCA MINKOFF is on the lookout for a dedicated Footwear Sales Associate to join our dynamic team in a vibrant showroom environment.

Position Summary: This role will directly report to the Senior Sales Executive and is essential in supporting the sales team by managing daily operations and contributing to the growth of our footwear brands.

Key Responsibilities:

Reporting:

  • Extracts sales reports from wholesale account platforms and distributes them to the team weekly.
  • Completes weekly sales flash reports including WTD, MTD, and STD metrics.
  • Analyzes sales data to identify top-selling items for re-orders or markdowns.
  • Determines markdowns for monthly discussions.
  • Communicates markdowns to accounts via maintenance forms or email.
  • Monitors shipped, picked, and open order reports on a daily and weekly basis.
  • Utilizes ATS reports to execute re-orders for accounts.
  • Employs ETA reports to inform accounts about delivery schedules.

Market Appointments:

  • Oversees calendar management for market presentations.
  • Assists in preparing account summaries for market meetings.
  • Ensures that samples are organized and displayed for each appointment.
  • Participates in sales presentations, both in-person and virtually.

Shoe Shows:

  • Handles shoe show contracts, preparing them for approval and invoicing.
  • Distributes invitations and communications to customers.
  • Creates a prospect list for potential new accounts and initiates contact to schedule appointments.
  • Manages sample preparation, shipping, and logistics.
  • Inputs orders into the Joor system and coordinates with account services for order processing.
  • Develops customer line sheets for major accounts using Nu Order.
  • Completes forms for new account setups and submits for approval.
  • Follows up with accounts post-show to ensure timely order fulfillment.
  • Maintains shoe show sales projections by account and updates with actual results.

Merchandising:

  • Regularly updates displays in the showroom.
  • Assists in setting up the showroom and shoe shows for market events.
  • Helps in organizing sample drops, sorting, and shipping.

Seminars and Competitive Analysis:

  • Conducts product knowledge sessions and trend analysis in retail seminars for key accounts.
  • Performs monthly visits to local accounts to ensure product visibility and completes competitive shopping assessments with photographs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience with independent sales is advantageous.
  • Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.
  • Familiarity with Joor and Nu Order is a plus.

Work Location: This position is based in our New York office, with a schedule that includes weekdays during standard business hours, offering some flexibility.
