Overview

We are looking for a Sales Support Specialist to become a vital part of our newly established National accounts and digital sales team. This role is designed to assist the team with various administrative tasks and provide essential support. It is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is motivated, detail-oriented, and possesses strong communication skills, seeking a career in the publishing sales sector. The Sales Support Specialist will collaborate closely with the Sales Director, the broader US sales department, and the editorial, marketing, and operations teams. Ideal candidates will have some background in publishing, preferably within a sales environment or a customer service role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Sales Director and Account Managers with daily departmental operations and inquiries.
  • Assist in managing and processing incoming orders and sample requests.
  • Help the sales team in creating sales materials and presentations as needed.
  • Contribute to the preparation of sell-in title information grids and reports for accounts.
  • Provide sales data and reporting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 1 year of experience in publishing; experience in a sales department is advantageous.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks while effectively prioritizing responsibilities and communications.
  • Proficient in creating and maintaining sales materials and documents with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Understanding the importance of timely responses and consistent follow-up.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions while also taking initiative when required.
  • Familiarity with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook is essential; knowledge of Teams and Edelweiss is a plus.
  • A motivated and inquisitive self-starter with an interest in publishing.

Location

Candidates must be able to work in person two days a week.

Salary Range
