Company Overview: DONALD PLINER/REBECCA MINKOFF is looking for a dedicated Footwear Sales Specialist to be based in our New York City showroom.
Position Summary: This role will report directly to the Senior Sales Executive and is essential in supporting the sales team by managing daily operations and contributing to the growth of our footwear brands.
Key Responsibilities:
Reporting:
- Generate sales reports from wholesale account platforms and distribute them to the team weekly.
- Prepare weekly flash reports including WTD, MTD, and STD metrics.
- Analyze sales data to identify top-selling items for re-orders or markdowns.
- Communicate markdowns to accounts through maintenance forms or email.
- Review shipping, picking, and open order reports regularly.
- Utilize ATS reports to facilitate re-orders for accounts.
- Use ETA reports to inform accounts about delivery schedules.
Market Engagement:
- Coordinate calendar postings for market presentations.
- Assist in preparing account summaries for market meetings.
- Ensure samples are organized and presented effectively for each appointment.
- Participate in sales presentations, both in-person and virtually.
Shoe Show Management:
- Complete shoe show contracts and prepare them for approval and invoicing.
- Send invitations and communications to customers.
- Create a prospect list for potential new accounts and initiate contact to schedule appointments.
- Manage sample preparation, shipping, and logistics.
- Input orders into the Joor system and coordinate with account services for processing.
- Develop customer line sheets for major accounts using Nu Order.
- Facilitate new account setups and follow up post-show to ensure timely order receipt.
- Maintain shoe show sales projections by account and update with actual results.
Merchandising:
- Regularly maintain showroom displays.
- Assist in the setup of the showroom and shoe shows for market events.
- Support in sorting and shipping samples.
Training and Market Research:
- Conduct product knowledge sessions and trend discussions during retail seminars for major accounts.
- Perform monthly visits to local accounts to ensure product visibility and complete competitive analysis forms with photographs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree.
- Experience with independent sales is advantageous.
- Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.
- Familiarity with Joor and Nu Order is a plus.
Work Environment: This position is based in New York, NY, and requires a standard weekday schedule with some flexibility.
