Job Summary:

Ryan Companies US, Inc. is seeking a highly experienced Safety Director to join our team in a mission critical sector. As a key member of our safety team, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining a comprehensive safety program that ensures the well-being of our employees, contractors, and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a safety program that meets or exceeds industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction activities and provide guidance on safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with field coordinators, project managers, and employees to ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures.
  • Provide technical expertise to corporate management and field supervision on safety-related matters.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of safety training programs for employees and contractors.
  • Monitor and report on safety metrics, including incident rates and near-miss events.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies, including OSHA.
  • Participate in the investigation of serious accidents and incidents.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of company policies and procedures related to safety.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Occupational Safety, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of safety management experience in the construction industry.
  • OSHA 500 Authorized Construction Trainer certification.
  • First Aid - CPR certification.
  • Ability to work independently and productively with others.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bilingual Spanish and English.
  • CSP, GSP, CIH, ASP, CHST, or other relevant certifications.
