Facilities Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facilities Director to join our team at Aljoya Thornton Place. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of maintenance for our community.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and/or perform maintenance and repair required to keep the building in good working condition according to the preventative maintenance program and work orders.
- Negotiate contracts and ensure outside services are properly completed and supervised in accordance with contracts.
- Regularly inspect equipment and buildings to ensure a safe and comfortable environment.
- Ensure that work areas are clean, free of hazardous conditions and that all tools and supplies are properly stored.
- Ensure compliance with fire and safety codes, including interacting with fire, building and safety inspectors.
- Respond to and be available for emergency calls from the community.
- Possess technical knowledge and mechanical ability to perform maintenance and repair of mechanical and electrical equipment generally used in a health care setting.
- Ability to plan, direct, supervise, coordinate and evaluate the work of others.
- Good communication and organization skills.
- Ability to use Word processing software, spreadsheet software, e-mail and the Internet.
- Ability to follow all OBRA, OSHA and L&I requirements ensuring personnel and resident safety at all times.
- Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
- Ability to pass DSHS background check, required.
- 5 years of facilities maintenance of multiple building trades and/or, other related training experience required; Facilities maintenance in a health-care setting preferred.
