About the Role

The Mockingbird Society is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in supporting our mission to transform foster care and end youth homelessness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Excellence: Ensure the smooth functioning of our organization by driving operational efficiencies and recommending improvements in systems and practices.
  • Information Technology: Collaborate with the Director of Operations to assess the information technology needs of the organization and identify solutions to meet those needs.
  • Safety and Duty of Care: Assist in office preparedness, safety, and health standards, as well as support the organizational disaster readiness and safety training for external events.
  • Human Resources: Support HR Generalist as needed, including new staff orientation and on-boarding process.
Qualifications
  • At least 5 years of experience in an operations position or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Natural leadership skills with a focus on the growth and well-being of others.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and execute at an organizational level.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously and exercise confidentiality.
  • Highly organized and self-motivated with a strong attention to detail.
  • Computer-savvy with an understanding of technology hardware, software, and databases.
  • Strong and consistent communication skills with the ability to manage projects and meet deadlines.
