As part of CommonSpirit Health, which includes Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) and Dignity Health, we operate over 150 clinics that provide quality care across Nebraska and southeast Iowa.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service:+ Greet and assist clients and visitors in a prompt and courteous manner, ensuring satisfaction.+ Notify providers of client arrivals and monitor waiting times to ensure timely service.+ Maintain a professional demeanor when communicating with clients, visitors, and hospital staff, considering their age and needs while ensuring confidentiality.+ Efficiently triage phone calls and prioritize caller needs.+ Identify crisis situations and connect callers with appropriate clinical personnel swiftly.+ Demonstrate respectful and professional customer service, recognizing the vulnerability of individuals seeking assistance.+ Utilize knowledge of CHI Health services and managed care contracts to facilitate appropriate referrals.
Scheduling and Registration:
Manage scheduling, cancellations, and rescheduling of client appointments for physicians, nurse practitioners, and psychologists. Collaborate with providers to maintain accurate schedules and provide secretarial support as needed.
Qualifications
Experience: Previous experience in a healthcare environment is preferred.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent, with specialized training in typing, transcription, medical terminology, and record keeping preferred. Equivalent education or experience will be considered.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Strong personal initiative, organizational skills, problem-solving abilities, and customer service skills are essential. Ability to multitask in a high-volume work environment is required.
