Creighton University is looking to hire a Patient Care Coordinator II for the School of Dentistry Clinic Team. The successful candidate will demonstrate empathy, adaptability, and a strong commitment to customer service. This role will serve as a patient liaison during clinic operations, ensuring quality patient access, a positive clinical experience, and the efficient flow of patient care. The coordinator will primarily manage the scheduling of patient appointments for pre-doctoral dental students within the clinic environment.

Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred, though not mandatory.

Work Schedule: Full-time, 12-month position; typically Monday through Friday; 7:30 am to 4:30 pm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary contact for scheduling patient appointments for pre-doctoral dental students in the clinic.
  • Oversee patient admissions, assignments, and the reassignment of patient referrals.
  • Coordinate all appointments with assigned students in accordance with clinic requirements.
  • Manage the daily flow of students during each clinic session.
  • Generate monthly reports, schedule appointments from short call lists, and handle patient correspondence.
  • Facilitate faxes, letters, records requests, and other clinical communications, including phone calls and data entry.
  • Enhance the overall patient and student clinical experience.

Qualifications:

  • Bilingual candidates are preferred, with Spanish being advantageous, but all applicants will be considered.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience is preferred.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail are necessary.
