Position Overview

Geological Monitoring Specialists are vital to our operations, serving as the primary geological observers at drilling sites. Their responsibilities include gathering, assessing, and interpreting geological information to facilitate informed decisions during drilling activities. In this role, you will act as a crucial liaison between the field operations and geologists, delivering essential updates for comprehensive geological evaluations.

Core Responsibilities
  • Perform continuous monitoring of drilling parameters and geological information.
  • Examine and characterize drill cuttings to detect hydrocarbon presence.
  • Oversee the operation and upkeep of gas extraction apparatus.
  • Record calibration and maintenance activities of monitoring instruments.
  • Manage data collection systems and produce detailed drilling reports.
  • Notify the team of any operational risks or inefficiencies.
  • Collaborate with geologists and drilling engineers for operational strategies.
  • Ensure the accuracy and reliability of geological samples and data.
  • Comply with safety, environmental, and operational protocols.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Geology, Earth Sciences, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Experience in geological monitoring and gas analysis within the oil and gas sector.
  • Familiarity with geological software, data analysis tools, and chromatography technology.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and dependable transportation is necessary.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship is required.
