About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse Endoscopy Specialist to join our team at SCA Health. As a key member of our perioperative team, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care and ensuring the success of our endoscopy procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized perioperative patient plans of care, prioritizing patient safety and well-being.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care and efficient workflow.
  • Administer medications safely and correctly, adhering to facility policies and procedures.
  • Monitor patient status and intervene as necessary to maintain tissue perfusion, genitourinary, gastrointestinal, musculoskeletal, endocrine, respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological systems.
  • Ensure scopes are prepared for use in accordance with policies and procedures and manufacturer's instructions for use.
  • Perform interventions to protect patients from infection and maintain a safe environment.
  • Document patient care accurately, timely, completely, and legibly, adhering to facility policies and procedures.
  • Participate in quality review and performance improvement projects, contributing to the development of evidence-based practices.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • One year of GI, OR, and/or medical/surgical nursing experience preferred.
  • Current state nursing licensure to practice in good standing.
  • Successful completion of Basic Life Support (BLS) or Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) within 90 days of employment or documentation of current BLS/BCLS certification.
  • Successful completion of Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Course within 90 days of employment or documentation of current ACLS certification.
  • Successful completion of Pediatric Advance Life Support (PALS) course is required when pediatric care is included in the facility scope of services within 90 days of employment or documentation of current PALS certification.
  • Specialty certification in GI Nursing is preferred.
Compensation

Minimum: USD $28.00/Hr. Maximum: USD $40.00/Hr.
