Key Responsibilities:
- Geological Data Collection: Conduct continuous real-time surveillance of drilling parameters and geological data.
- Drill Cuttings Analysis: Collect, analyze, and describe drill cuttings, as well as perform hydrocarbon extraction analysis to identify hydrocarbon presence in the cuttings.
- Equipment Maintenance: Supervise the operation and maintenance of gas extraction equipment, ensuring precise chromatography data acquisition.
- Data Management: Manage data acquisition systems, employing advanced software for gas detection and drilling parameter monitoring.
- Log Generation: Generate comprehensive logs detailing drilling progress, mud characteristics, and stratigraphic information.
- Operational Oversight: Alert the drilling team to any significant changes in mud properties or cuttings indicative of operational hazards or inefficiencies.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with geologists and drilling engineers, providing critical data to aid in operational planning and decision-making processes.
- Quality Control: Ensure the accuracy and integrity of all geological samples and their corresponding data.

Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Geology, Earth Sciences, or related field is preferred.

- Skills: Expertise in the use of geological software, data analysis tools, and chromatography equipment pertinent to drilling operations.
- Personal Qualities: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are mandatory. Legal authorization to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship.
