  • Conducting real-time surveillance of drilling parameters and geological data.
  • Collecting, analyzing, and describing drill cuttings, as well as performing hydrocarbon extraction analysis.
  • Supervising the operation and maintenance of gas extraction equipment, ensuring precise chromatography data acquisition.
  • Overseeing and documenting the calibration and maintenance of all geological monitoring equipment.
  • Managing data acquisition systems, employing advanced software for gas detection and drilling parameter monitoring.
  • Generating comprehensive logs detailing drilling progress, mud characteristics, and stratigraphic information.
  • Alerting the drilling team to significant changes in mud properties or cuttings indicative of operational hazards or inefficiencies.
  • Collaborating with geologists and drilling engineers, providing critical data to aid in operational planning and decision-making processes.
  • Ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all geological samples and their corresponding data.
  • Adhering to all safety, environmental, and operational standards set by the company.
Key Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Geology, Earth Sciences, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in mud logging, gas analysis, and related activities within the oil and gas industry.
  • Expertise in the use of geological software, data analysis tools, and chromatography equipment pertinent to drilling operations.
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship.
