Job Summary

The Business Account Executive is a key role in driving sales growth and revenue for Wave. As a Business Account Executive, you will be responsible for selling primary and ancillary communications solutions to small and medium-sized businesses within a specified territory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prospect for new customers and develop sales leads through various tactics
  • Sell bundled services to new customers and achieve sales and revenue goals
  • Develop and implement a Territory Plan to expand the customer base within the assigned territory
  • Work with Account Coordinators to ensure accurate and timely submission of sales orders, contracts, and billing forms
  • Hand off customer service inquiries to the Customer Service department and focus on selling
  • Maintain accurate records of sales and prospecting activities
  • Meet and exceed performance standards as defined by the department Standards of Performance (SOP) and the Spectrum Way Sales Model
Requirements
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • Knowledge of communications technologies and services, with an emphasis on telephone and Internet fundamentals
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Outside sales experience in a high-transaction, short-closing cycle model
  • Business-to-business sales experience
  • Proven sales history of meeting or exceeding targets
Working Conditions

The Business Account Executive will work in an office environment and/or outside environment with exposure to inclement weather. The role requires moderate noise levels and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

A qualified applicant's criminal history, if any, will be considered in a manner consistent with applicable laws, including local ordinances.

The base pay for this position generally is between $39,900.00 and $65,800.00. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as bonuses.

In addition, this position has a commission earnings target starting at $54,000.
