Job Summary

The Business Account Executive is a key role in our sales team, responsible for selling primary and ancillary communications solutions to small and medium-sized businesses within a specified territory. This includes coax delivered Internet, video, and voice services, as well as custom hosting, desktop security, data backup, data storage, toll-free numbers, additional email addresses, static IPs, and more.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prospect for new customers and develop a territory plan to expand the customer base within the assigned territory.
  • Generate sales leads through various prospecting tactics and work every lead from initial contact to sale.
  • Develop and implement a sales strategy to meet and exceed performance standards as defined by the department Standards of Performance (SOP) and the Spectrum Way Sales Model.
  • Attend and participate in sales meetings as established by management.
  • Maintain accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities, including sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow-up activities within the assigned territory.
Requirements
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Knowledge of communications technologies and services, with an emphasis on telephone and Internet fundamentals.
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Outside sales experience in a high-transaction, short-closing cycle model preferred; 3-5 years.
  • Business-to-business sales experience preferred.
  • Proven sales history of meeting or exceeding targets preferred.
Working Conditions

Office environment and/or outside environment with exposure to inclement weather. Exposure to moderate noise levels.

A qualified applicant's criminal history, if any, will be considered in a manner consistent with applicable laws, including local ordinances.

The base pay for this position generally is between $39,900.00 and $65,800.00. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

This position has a commission earnings target starting at $54,000.
