Job Overview:

The Culinary Operations Manager is responsible for delivering exceptional food quality and consistency to restaurant patrons, ensuring reasonable pricing, an appealing environment, and professional service. Key responsibilities include overseeing culinary operations to achieve food quality objectives, aligning with the company's financial targets, maintaining facilities, and fostering personnel development.

Food Quality:

The Culinary Operations Manager ensures that all food served meets high standards of quality and presentation. This includes overseeing the preparation and execution of menu items and maintaining ongoing training to uphold these standards among staff.

Service:

Timely food production and well-informed service staff are critical for guest satisfaction. The Culinary Operations Manager will participate in service education through:

  • Daily team briefings
  • Quarterly menu discussions
  • Training programs for new staff

The goal is to ensure all orders are executed efficiently.

Financial Objectives:

Meeting financial goals while maintaining food quality and service standards is a key responsibility. If challenges arise that hinder financial targets without compromising quality, the Culinary Operations Manager must promptly address these issues with management.

Facility Maintenance:

Maintaining cleanliness and organization in kitchen facilities is essential. The Culinary Operations Manager supervises daily cleaning protocols and assigns tasks to kitchen staff to ensure a hygienic work environment.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Assisting in the supervision of kitchen personnel, the Culinary Operations Manager is responsible for overall coordination and evaluation of the team. This includes tasks such as interviewing, hiring, training, and performance management.
