Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Coordinator to join our team at W.E. O'Neil Construction Company. The successful candidate will assist the project team in the administration and management of construction projects, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Skills:
    • Prepare and maintain Submittal Logs
    • Assist the project team with the initial setup of PlanGrid to organize contract documents
    • Manage progress photo documentation via PlanGrid
    • Prepare and maintain RFI Logs in CMiC
    • Post RFIs and maintain the accuracy of as-builts
    • Manage and maintain Material Procurement Logs
    • Interact with field teams to ensure timely material deliveries
    • Oversee contract close-out process, including O&M manuals and as-builts
  • Management Skills:
    • Assist in obtaining costs from subcontractors for extra work
    • Log costs properly in CMiC
    • Ensure timely delivery of project equipment and materials
    • Manage submittal process with subcontractors and design team
    • Organize procurement meetings to communicate procurement and hot-button issues
    • Ensure project team is aware of storage location of approved submittals
    • PlanGrid / Document Log - maintain accurate database and record red-line markups
    • Contract Documents - understand trade scope and role of RFI and Submittals
    • RFIs - write clear and concise RFIs and follow up for speedy resolution
    • Find conflicts in contract documents and issue RFIs to appropriate parties
    • Field - coordinate with subs and resolve issues with input from superintendents and project managers
    • Track outstanding RFIs and expedite return responses to subcontractors
    • Assist in creating and implementing Site Specific Quality Plan (SSQP)
    • BIM - schedule BIM meetings and verify coordination is implemented in the field
    • Document and take meeting minutes for weekly BIM coordination meetings
    • Closeout - schedule and coordinate training between subcontractors and owner
    • Manage punch list process, establishing a program and managing pre-punch and punch process
    • Participate in initial and/or acceptance walks with Architect/Owner, as needed
Requirements
  • Four-year degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent experience in a related field
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Basic understanding of scheduling and CMiC applications
  • Understanding of basic construction administration processes, including construction documents, schedules, RFIs, submittals, and material procurement
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Understanding of basic daily software tools, such as Bluebeam, Plan Grid, Safety Mojo, BIM 360 Glue, etc.
  • Basic time management and organization skills
  • Completion of OSHA 30-Hour Safety Course
  • First Aid and CPR certified
