Job Summary:

The Senior Medical Transcriptionist transcribes medical dictation to provide a permanent record of patient care. This role requires a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, as well as excellent communication and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transcribe medical dictation from physicians and other healthcare professionals
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of transcribed documents
  • Operate designated word processing, dictation, and transcription equipment
  • Provide administrative, clerical, and technical support as needed
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure timely and accurate documentation

Requirements:

  • Minimum two years experience in an accredited acute facility as a Medical Transcriptionist
  • Minimum two years experience transcribing Surgical Pathology Reports preferred
  • Excellent dexterity and analytic skills
  • Ability to plan and organize work, manage workload, operate equipment, input data and type
  • Clear speaking abilities in English
