Job Overview

The Student Engagement Coordinator plays a vital role in fostering community connections, engaging potential candidates, and attracting individuals to pursue careers in the hospitality sector. This position involves regular travel and flexible hours to effectively reach and engage with prospective students. The coordinator will work closely with the Success Manager and collaborate with the student services team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrated experience in education or workforce development.
  • A strong commitment to actively participating in and promoting the organization to potential students at various events throughout the week.
  • Exceptional marketing and presentation skills to convey the organization's mission, values, and program offerings effectively.
  • Ability to generate referrals by establishing rapport and trust with diverse audiences.
  • Proven communication skills to interact effectively with various populations, including potential candidates, at-risk communities, corporate partners, and staff.
  • Strong organizational and computer skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local non-profit organizations, workforce development agencies, employers, and educational institutions.
  • Engage with high school counselors and educators to promote training programs and create a successful events calendar.
  • Participate in external recruitment events, ensuring the organization's visibility at local job fairs and resource events.
  • Conduct in-person and virtual presentations to provide information about program offerings.
  • Assist prospective students with inquiries regarding registration, program advantages, and career pathways.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all programs and support services offered.
  • Prepare follow-up reports detailing activities and future recruitment strategies.
  • Provide on-campus assistance during special events and information sessions as required.
  • Perform additional duties related to student recruitment and success as assigned.

Qualifications:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. A minimum of two years of experience in higher education, workforce development, or sales (experience in hospitality is advantageous). Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred.

Licensing and Certification:

  • High School Diploma is required.
  • A degree in Sales, Marketing, or Communications is preferred.
