About the Role

The General Manager is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a collision repair center. This individual will be responsible for ensuring exceptional customer experiences, leading and maintaining a high-performing team, and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Experience: Ensure consistent execution of the company's customer experience strategy, WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
  • Financial Management: Prepare and manage the annual and monthly operating budget of the collision center, forecast, target, and track monthly sales, profit, and expense objectives.
  • Team Leadership: Deliver formal annual performance reviews and informal monthly performance reviews, monitor and maintain all accounts payable and receivable relating to the collision center.
  • Facility Management: Maintain a clean and organized repair facility at all times, monitor all maintenance required for all shop equipment, including the paint booth.
  • Training and Development: Provide training for all staff as necessary, ensure all staff wear proper safety gear and adhere to dress code.
  • Operations: Open and close the facility daily as per established procedures, conduct or coordinate daily production meetings/walks to confirm throughput and delivery dates.
  • Estimates and Capacity Management: Manage all estimates to ensure labor mix is within established standards, manage store capacity.
  • Leadership and Collaboration: Lead and manage all repair facility personnel, facilitate monthly Health & Safety and staff meetings, attend monthly managers meetings, and attend training, information sessions, and workshops recommended by Senior Leadership Team.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Post-secondary education or equivalent, proven leadership experience in a collision repair environment or similar role.
  • Skills and Abilities: Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy, ability to consistently demonstrate a successful client experience, communicate clearly both verbally and in writing, ability to motivate others utilizing effective coaching tools and management skills.
