The Boyd Group is a leading provider of collision repair services in North America. With a strong commitment to customer satisfaction and employee development, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Manager to lead our collision repair center.

Job Summary

The General Manager is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and leading the day-to-day operations of the collision repair center. This includes planning and implementing daily operations to meet key performance indicators (KPIs) and insurance metrics. The General Manager will also coach and empower team members to achieve their individual goals and contribute to the success of the center.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Experience
    • Ensure consistent execution of our customer service standards.
    • Deliver exceptional customer service to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Operations Management
    • Prepare and manage the annual and monthly operating budget of the collision center.
    • Forecast, target, and track monthly sales, profit, and expense objectives.
    • Monitor and maintain all accounts payable and receivable related to the collision center.
  • Team Leadership
    • Deliver formal annual performance reviews and informal monthly performance reviews.
    • Provide training and coaching to team members as needed.
    • Ensure all team members wear proper safety gear and adhere to dress code.
  • Facility Management
    • Maintain a clean and organized repair facility at all times.
    • Monitor all maintenance required for all shop equipment, including the paint booth.
  • Performance Management
    • Conduct or coordinate daily production meetings/walks to confirm throughput and delivery dates.
    • Manage all estimates to ensure labor mix is within established standards.
    • Manage store capacity.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Facilitate monthly health and safety meetings and staff meetings.
    • Attend monthly managers' meetings.
    • Attend training, information sessions, and workshops recommended by senior leadership.

Requirements

  • Education and Experience
    • Post-secondary education or equivalent.
    • Proven leadership experience in a collision repair environment or similar role.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
    • Ability to consistently demonstrate a successful client experience.
    • Effective communication and coaching skills.
