We are seeking an experienced and passionate Sous Chef to join our team at La Marchande, a renowned restaurant in the heart of the city. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading the preparation and presentation of our exquisite pastry items and ensuring the highest standards of quality and excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pastry Operations: Oversee the preparation and presentation of all pastry items, ensuring consistency and excellence in every dish.
  • Mise-en-Place: Organize and maintain a clean and efficient mise-en-place system, ensuring that all ingredients and supplies are readily available and easily accessible.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of skilled pastry chefs, providing guidance and support to ensure the highest standards of quality and excellence.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure that all pastry items meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring that all equipment and utensils are clean and in good working order.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience as a Sous Chef in a high-end restaurant or pastry shop.
  • Skills: Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team of skilled pastry chefs.
  • Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of pastry preparation and presentation, with a focus on quality and excellence.
  • Education: Culinary degree or equivalent experience.
