Position Overview: Electromechanical Assembly and Testing Specialist

In this role, you will be responsible for the assembly, testing, inspection, cleaning, and packaging of electromechanical systems and subsystems, including Control Rod Drive Mechanisms, in accordance with established procedures and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble and test control rod drive mechanisms and sub-assembly components, such as AC stators and DC coils.
  • Inspect, clean, and package products for shipment.
  • Conduct various electrical measurements, including resistance, insulation resistance, and dielectric strength tests on AC/DC circuits.
  • Perform precision mechanical adjustments on complex, high-value components.
  • Execute assembly and testing operations on development products following detailed engineering instructions.
  • Maintain the Assembly and Test facility equipment and ensure cleanliness to meet MIL-STD-767 standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Preferred: Associate's degree in mechanical or electronic technology.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in a precision electromechanical assembly and testing environment.
  • Willingness and availability to work any shift as required by business needs.
  • Ability to perform assigned tasks from ladders and elevated platforms.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance.

The base salary range for this position is determined by local market factors and may vary based on individual qualifications, experience, and other relevant considerations. The total compensation package may also include additional elements such as annual cash incentives and a comprehensive benefits package.
