Role Summary

Overview: As the Environmental Services Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and directing the operational needs of the support services department. You will coordinate the activities of frontline staff and act as a bridge between administration and unit departments, ensuring the highest level of service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and review operational standards and procedures for all team members.
  • Plan staffing schedules and work assignments to guarantee efficient service delivery.
  • Assist in the recruitment process, including interviewing, hiring, and training new staff members.
  • Orient, mentor, and supervise all supervisory and housekeeping personnel.
  • Conduct regular facility inspections and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Prepare monthly reports detailing goals, achievements, and future objectives.
  • Facilitate staff education and ongoing training initiatives.
  • Maintain effective communication with staff, administration, and other departments.
  • Coordinate external services such as Pest Control, Window Cleaning, Medical and Solid Waste Management, Document Destruction, and Recycling programs.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in support services, military, housekeeping, or facilities maintenance.
  • At least 1 year of supervisory experience in a customer-focused support service environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Capable of maintaining organization in a dynamic and high-pressure environment.
  • Demonstrated initiative, accountability, adaptability, and leadership skills.
  • Thorough understanding of contract management and office protocols.
  • Proficient in computer applications, particularly MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
