Job Title: Strategic Client Executive

At UnitedHealth Group, we're committed to simplifying the healthcare experience and creating healthier communities. As a Strategic Client Executive, you'll play a critical role in managing a book of strategic accounts and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and consultants to ensure UHG senior management has customer-specific board-level contacts.
  • Establish and monitor client financial performance, including renewal planning, negotiation, and profitability levels.
  • Secure new business through marketing and effective product and service expansion.
  • Demonstrate marketing and technical expertise through client, broker, and consultant meetings.
  • Assess approach, resources, and contacts needed to complete RFPs.
  • Provide feedback to management on market trends as represented by our clients.
Requirements:
  • Appropriate state insurance sales licenses or willingness to obtain within 60 days.
  • 3+ years of sales and client management experience consulting on group employee benefits.
  • Proven underwriting, financial, and/or analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated relationship management skills and proven track record of building, maintaining, and cultivating client relationships.
  • Proven superior customer service skills, including a sense of urgency and ownership for resolving client issues.
  • Proven skilled at articulating our value proposition to customers, including the clinical and financial aspects of our business.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience managing large national accounts (5,000 lives+) in the ASO space.
  • Proven problem solver with the ability to move quickly within UHG to solve customer issues.
  • Proven detail-oriented professional with solid organizational and leadership skills, self-directed.
  • Proven skillful negotiator with a strategic vision for his/her accounts.
  • Proven excellent communication and interpersonal skills (internal/external) with the ability to build solid relationships with senior-level staff at large employer groups.
