Job Summary:

The Director of Housekeeping Operations is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the cleanliness of the property in accordance with industry standards and company policies. This role involves planning, organizing, and developing the housekeeping department to provide exceptional guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and implement housekeeping operations to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Monitor and maintain the cleanliness of guest rooms and public areas.
  • Recruit, train, and develop housekeeping team members to ensure excellent service delivery.
  • Manage and motivate the housekeeping management team to achieve departmental goals.
  • Purchase and maintain linen and housekeeping supplies and inventory.
  • Manage finances and budget for the housekeeping department.
  • Evaluate and report maintenance issues related to furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
  • Monitor and control labor costs, supplies, and expenditures.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve guest satisfaction and service metrics.
  • Delegate duties and projects to team members and follow up on progress.
  • Resolve guest complaints and issues promptly and professionally.
  • Ensure proper communication within the department through regular meetings and updates.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in supervising housekeeping departments with a large team of employees.
  • Extensive experience in managing large properties with multiple room types.
  • Experience working with foreign labor programs and managing a team of housekeeping employees.
  • Ability to anticipate customer needs, multitask, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Working knowledge of room management systems and proficiency in general office PC applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail.
