Part-time. Availability required on weekdays and weekends.
SALARY:
$21.00 per hour
POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the guidance of the Head Manager, the Print Production Coordinator will engage in a dynamic setting that necessitates proficiency in computer applications and a strong emphasis on customer interaction and service.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Assist in conducting Riso workshops.
2. Ensure timely delivery of all projects, addressing any operational delays or changes to meet unexpected circumstances. Maintain communication with students and faculty when critical issues arise or production timelines are at risk.
3. Manage inventory of necessary supplies and components for production.
4. Complete all essential documentation, including print request forms and job tickets, to ensure accuracy and completeness.
5. Participate in training sessions or special projects as assigned.
6. Foster collaborative relationships with students, faculty, and staff.
7. Communicate daily with print studio supervisors.
8. Perform additional job-related tasks and responsibilities as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a print production environment utilizing Macintosh systems.
2. At least 3 years of experience in customer service and computer applications.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Background in art education is advantageous.
2. Experience in a fast-paced production setting using Apple software.
3. Intermediate proficiency with Adobe Master Suite.
4. Familiarity with desktop publishing, design layout, and form creation.
5. Experience with 3D printing is preferred.
6. Knowledge of Riso technology is a plus.
7. Understanding of various paper types and weights (cover stock, vellum, etc.).
8. Proficiency with OSX and IOS devices.
9. Knowledge of the internal operations of a printing facility, including pre-press processes, direct to plate output, and RIP Station operation, as well as paper cutting and color systems.
10. Ability to calibrate printers throughout the lab.
11. Comprehensive understanding of different papers and printing inks.
