Project Estimation Specialist

WHAT YOU WILL GAIN IN THIS ROLE:

  • Analyze inquiry documents to identify competitive strengths, assess risks, and ensure adherence to customer bid requests and specifications.
  • Collaborate with the Sales and Executive Management teams to formulate strategies for new business opportunities.
  • Generate piping take-offs from isometric drawings and piping plans.
  • Design preliminary heat tracing and control systems.
  • Create initial power distribution designs, including layouts for wiring and conduits.
  • Develop comprehensive cost estimates that encompass both materials and labor (direct and indirect).
  • Communicate effectively with the Estimating Team regarding all correspondence and bid clarifications to support customer proposal generation.
  • Facilitate final review sessions for estimates with management as necessary.
  • Ensure timely completion of estimating and proposal milestones.
  • Guarantee a thorough transfer of proposal and contract information to the Project Execution Team.
YOU BRING:
  • A degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience in Oil and Gas, Construction, or a similar field is ideal.
  • Strong technical writing abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
  • A collaborative spirit with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Experience in construction disciplines such as electrical, mechanical, or insulation is advantageous.
