Position Overview

As a Commercial Electrical Estimator / Project Manager, your primary responsibility will be to develop comprehensive electrical estimates and oversee projects from inception to completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue bidding opportunities for construction-related projects.
  • Prepare change orders and quotes, assist in the estimation process, and conduct bid analyses for each completed bid; coordinate bid reviews with operational teams.
  • Conduct detailed takeoffs, interpret plans, proposals, and other documentation to formulate bids.
  • Ensure effective communication with all project stakeholders throughout each project, including regular status updates, maintaining the bid board, and preparing accurate bid presentations.
  • Foster and maintain relationships with contractors and clients.
  • Develop pricing strategies throughout all phases of the design process and convert budgets into final bid proposals.
  • Issue and monitor Requests for Information (RFIs) and change orders.
  • Keep both field and office personnel informed of any changes.
  • Ensure compliance with the current National Electrical Code during project execution.
  • Oversee material submissions and procurement processes.
  • Attend project meetings as necessary.
  • Track and manage costs for each project.
  • Handle multiple projects from the estimation phase through to final completion.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Salary range: $60,000 - $80,000, based on experience.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five years of experience as a Commercial Electrical Estimator.
  • Project management experience is essential.
  • Proficient in MS Office, with advanced skills in Excel and estimating software.
  • Thorough understanding of electrical construction bidding processes.
  • Strong grasp of construction methodologies.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to set timelines and coordinate pricing.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical capabilities.
  • Able to manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities effectively.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
