About the Job

HR Professionals Consulting is seeking a skilled Industrial Estimator to join our team. As an Industrial Estimator, you will play a crucial role in preparing detailed estimates for industrial capital projects, identifying risks and opportunities, and maintaining a winning strategy for our clients' needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Estimate Preparation: Prepare detailed estimates in accordance with the scope of work, blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare quantity take-offs, for foundations, structural steel, pipe, and process equipment.
  • Cost Analysis: Apply work hour unit rates for each item in the estimate to generate the overall direct work hours.
  • Construction Knowledge: Understand the construction equipment requirements, temporary facilities requirements, and field non-manual staffing requirements.
  • Supplier Management: Assist in the solicitation of quotes from material and equipment suppliers, subcontractors, and specified manufacturers.
Requirements
  • Experience: 1+ years' experience with industrial civil, structural steel, process equipment, and piping estimating.
  • Estimating Software: Working knowledge of estimating software; MC2 a plus.
  • Industry Knowledge: Competitive bid experience in the petro-chemical, power, gas processing, refining, and other heavy industrial facilities.
  • Construction Field Experience: Construction field experience highly preferred.
  • Estimating Strategies: Advanced knowledge of estimating strategies and techniques.
  • Industry Practices: Thorough understanding of construction industry practices, processes, and standards and their impact on project activities.
  • Estimating Best Practices: Knowledge of estimating Best Practices.
  • Travel: Occasional travel required.
  • Safety: Follow safety regulations while on jobsite visits.
Physical Requirements
  • Physical Ability: Ability to stand, walk, or sit 1/3 to 2/3's of the scheduled work shift.
  • Work Environment: Office environment – indoor with low to moderate levels of noise.
  • Visual Requirements: Read engineering blueprints and reduced size black and white drawings, specifications, fine print, reports, schedules, estimates, and other documents in either hard copy or on computer monitor.
  • Field Work: Required on occasion to observe construction progress outdoors by walking or driving to or on the site over rough or uneven terrain, which may be dusty, muddy, wet, and noisy.
Job Type and Schedule
  • Job Type: Full-time.
  • Schedule: +8 hour shift.
Compensation

Pay ranges from $40- $60 per hour. Depending on Experience.
