Position Summary:

We are seeking a talented Product Development Engineer to join our team, focusing on enhancing product offerings through innovative design and engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with diverse teams to ensure products meet customer expectations and adhere to safety regulations.
  • Utilize technical expertise to tackle complex challenges and develop superior products.
  • Transform concepts into viable, market-ready solutions.
  • Evaluate existing products for potential enhancements and implement necessary updates.
  • Conduct rigorous testing to verify product performance and safety standards.
  • Refine designs for optimal performance and cost-effectiveness using CAD software.
  • Experiment with various materials and manufacturing processes to identify the best options for new products.
  • Provide technical specifications to suppliers to ensure high-quality component procurement.
  • Work closely with manufacturing teams to resolve design-related challenges and improve production efficiency.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Gather and analyze customer feedback to propose design improvements.
  • Create technical guides for troubleshooting and operational procedures.
  • Lead cross-departmental initiatives to meet project requirements.
  • Document solutions through flowcharts and diagrams.
  • Assist in developing a Quality Control program that aligns with safety guidelines.
  • Define project scopes and objectives, ensuring timely delivery within budget.
  • Conduct research and present findings in meetings.
  • Enhance professional knowledge through workshops and networking.
  • Mentor team members as necessary.
  • Oversee technical aspects of projects and apply global standards.

Required Skills:

  • Proficient in Quality Function Deployment (QFD) and process development.
  • Experience in electrical, software, or mechanical design is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with microcontrollers, such as Arduino, is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with regulatory agencies.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Demonstrated project management and organizational skills.
  • Adept at managing multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Mechanical aptitude and statistical analysis capabilities.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Reliable and responsible work ethic.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP systems.
  • Experience with CAD software is a plus.

Work Environment:

This role may require extended periods of standing and the ability to lift heavy objects. Candidates should be prepared to work in varying temperature conditions.

Physical Requirements:

Employees must be able to perform essential functions, including standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Vision capabilities must include close, distance, and color vision.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electro-Mechanical, Mechatronics, or related field) or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a technical or manufacturing environment.
  • 1-3 years of project management experience is preferred.
