Corestaff Services is seeking a skilled Product Development Engineer to contribute to our dynamic team. This role involves collaborating with a dedicated group of professionals to drive significant product enhancements that align with our operational goals in terms of cost, quality, and service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead collaborative design reviews and validation plans with both internal teams and external partners to uphold quality benchmarks.
  • Oversee modifications to existing products by guiding components and modules through various stages including design, initial articles, engineering builds, pilot runs, and production part approval processes (PPAP).
  • Manage product specifications and system requirements to ensure clarity and compliance for models or components.
  • Direct technical resources and facilitate the development of design requirements, while assessing risks throughout the project lifecycle using established design standards and methodologies.
  • Establish and confirm system-level product requirements through rigorous testing, simulation, and prototyping methods.
  • Lead teams in resolving technical issues, identifying root causes, and implementing effective solutions.
  • Design and execute comprehensive test plans, effectively communicating results and implications of technical challenges to a diverse audience.
  • Evaluate and approve technical trade-offs to meet production integration requirements.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% domestically and internationally.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in product design, PPAP, and design verification and validation, or a comparable combination of education and experience.
  • Prior experience in a systems engineering role with proficiency in relevant tools and methodologies.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and structured problem-solving abilities, capable of simplifying complex challenges.
  • Familiarity with engineering modeling software, particularly CAD (preferably Creo) and Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes such as injection molding, die casting, stamping, finishing, and assembly.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with design for manufacturability, cost estimation, GD&T, Systems DFMEA, PPAP, and design verification and validation.
