Job Overview

LHH Recruitment Solutions is in search of a Production Engineering Specialist for a permanent role with a manufacturing organization. This position offers the chance to become part of a seasoned engineering team, reporting directly to an Engineering Manager who is committed to fostering innovation and supporting both personal and professional growth.

In this role, you will engage with diverse manufacturing technologies and product lines, spearheading initiatives aimed at enhancing operational outcomes, implementing Lean methodologies, and more. The compensation package is competitive and reflects your experience, ranging from $85,000 to $95,000 annually, plus bonuses, and includes comprehensive medical insurance, generous Paid Time Off, and a 401K plan.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and refine efficient manufacturing processes by assessing product specifications and developing, altering, and testing production methods and machinery to achieve optimal results.
  • Utilize industry expertise in product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials while collaborating with production teams.
  • Diagnose and address operational challenges, investigate equipment malfunctions, document follow-up actions, and provide technical support to floor personnel.
  • Conduct thorough root cause analyses of quality concerns arising during the manufacturing process.
  • Work closely with operations and management to establish a unified vision for daily task completion and report on progress.
  • Partner with maintenance, production, and engineering teams, as well as external contractors, to enhance equipment maintenance, services, repairs, and operational practices.
  • Analyze and enhance manufacturing efficiency by planning workflows and optimizing equipment layout.
  • Develop innovative solutions to complex challenges encountered in the manufacturing process.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Engineering Manager.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing or mechanical engineering within a production environment is essential.
  • Experience working directly on the production floor with various manufacturing equipment is required.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and wiring diagrams/schematics is necessary.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Proficient analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities are required.
  • Must be a proactive, self-motivated individual capable of working independently.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills are necessary, including the ability to collaborate effectively within a cross-functional team.
