Role Summary:

The Manufacturing Engineer plays a crucial role in aligning Sales and Service with Operations, which enhances on-time delivery, boosts customer satisfaction, and drives profitability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver outstanding customer service to clients associated with Defense, Medical, or Commercial product lines.
  • Act as the project launch lead for designated projects, overseeing them from inception to completion.
  • Assess part samples and/or customer design documents for essential characteristics and functions.
  • Engage in advanced quality planning for parts.
  • Develop three-dimensional part models to fulfill design data requirements.
  • Participate in contract evaluations.
  • Establish clear work instructions.
  • Ensure quality and delivery standards are communicated effectively to the production team.
  • Maintain ERP part data to support manufacturing processes.
  • Define material procurement requirements.
  • Investigate and coordinate engineering change requests with relevant teams.
  • Monitor order statuses consistently.
  • Stay updated on Lean initiatives and advocate for continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to ongoing departmental cost-reduction efforts.
  • Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Uphold a clean and safe work environment (i.e., 6S principles).
  • Assist in evaluating and developing operational strategies in collaboration with sales and management teams.
  • Contribute to the creation and management of new project proposals.
  • Execute all duties in accordance with the company's ethical and lawful standards.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering is essential.
  • Preferred knowledge of manufacturing techniques and logistics management.
  • Experience with ERP and CAD software is advantageous.
  • Technical proficiency in quoting, planning, monitoring, and assessing work orders.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A collaborative team player who thrives in challenging environments.
