We are currently seeking a Product Development Engineer to contribute to our ongoing efforts in enhancing product quality and innovation. This role emphasizes a culture of continuous improvement and collaborative problem-solving across various departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with diverse teams to ensure products align with customer expectations and comply with industry standards.
  • Utilize technical expertise to address complex challenges and develop innovative solutions.
  • Transform conceptual ideas into market-ready products through effective design and engineering practices.
  • Evaluate existing products for enhancement opportunities and implement necessary updates.
  • Conduct rigorous testing to verify product performance, reliability, and safety.
  • Refine designs for optimal functionality, manufacturability, and cost-efficiency using CAD software.
  • Source and assess materials and manufacturing processes to meet project specifications.
  • Provide technical specifications to suppliers to ensure high-quality component procurement.
  • Work closely with production teams to resolve design issues and improve manufacturing efficiency.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of designs, specifications, and compliance with industry regulations.
  • Analyze customer feedback and data to propose product improvements.
  • Create technical guides for operational and troubleshooting support.
  • Develop mechanical models and conduct tolerance analyses to validate design concepts.
  • Lead cross-departmental initiatives to fulfill project requirements.
  • Document solutions through flowcharts, diagrams, and detailed reports.
  • Assist in establishing a Quality Control program to ensure safety and compliance with industry standards.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proficient in Quality Function Deployment (QFD) and project management methodologies.
  • Experience in electrical, software, or mechanical design is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with microcontrollers such as Arduino is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with regulatory agencies.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency in statistical analysis.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CAD software, with a focus on SolidWorks.

Work Environment:

This position may require extended periods of standing and the ability to lift heavy objects. Candidates should be prepared to work in varying temperature conditions.

Physical Requirements:

Employees must be able to perform essential functions, including frequent standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Vision requirements include close, distance, and color vision.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electro-Mechanical, Mechatronics, or related field) or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a technical role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Project management experience is preferred.
