We are pleased to present an opportunity for an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to become an integral part of our committed clinical team within the Alzheimer's Division of the Neurology Department at Albany Medical Center. This role is pivotal in delivering specialized, high-quality care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:


The APP collaborates closely with the Division Chief, fellow Physicians, clinical staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal care for patients experiencing memory-related conditions.


The APP utilizes a comprehensive understanding of anatomy, neurology principles, microbiology, physiology, psychology, human disabilities, pharmacology, gerontology, and medical terminology to provide effective care tailored to the patient's needs and the APP's licensure level.


The APP is responsible for conducting thorough patient evaluations, performing complete physical assessments, and gathering clinical data, which includes vital signs, specimen collection, and preparing patients for various tests, therapies, or treatments. The role also involves ordering and interpreting laboratory test results, diagnosing patient conditions, administering medications or treatments, and executing minor surgical procedures.


Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner Master's degree program

Current New York State licensure, Board Certification, and DEA registration

Possession or acquisition of a National Provider Identifier (NPI) issued by the US Center for Medicaid and Medicare services

Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
