Position Highlights:

Responsibilities:
Deliver anticipatory guidance, screening, and health education to patients to foster and sustain health
Initiate treatment for patients with common health issues, within the nurse specialist's scope of practice, utilizing a systematic approach to patient history and physical assessment through clinical judgment of evaluated data
Conduct comprehensive health evaluations, including obtaining a thorough and accurate health history from the patient or significant other; performing a complete and precise physical examination; and administering selected measures of physical, cognitive, and psychosocial development in accordance with standardized guidelines
Order and perform selected diagnostic tests and procedures as indicated by the patient's condition
Using the data obtained in the health assessment and diagnostic studies, interpret clinical findings and develop a complete, accurate differential diagnoses/health care problems list
Identify and effectively utilize available resources to meet the health care and health education needs of patients and families, including but not limited to consultations with other physicians and allied health professionals.

Plan appropriate care utilizing community resources and act as a liaison by relaying necessary information for continuity of care to other health professionals and agencies.

Required Qualifications:
Master's degree in Nursing with advanced skills in physical assessment
Active unrestricted APRN license in New York, or ability to obtain prior to start

Training and Experience:
Unless otherwise indicated, one year of current experience within the last three years in a comparable job classification required

New York Residents Only:
The salary range for this role is $109,513 to $147,146 per year. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
