Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Associate Director of Development to join our team at Stanford University. As a key member of our Development team, you will be responsible for leading the fundraising efforts for major gifts, identifying and cultivating high-potential donors, and developing strategic plans to achieve our philanthropic goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of major gifts fundraising strategies and plans
  • Identify, cultivate, and solicit high-potential donors and prospects
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including faculty, staff, and donors
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the university to advance our philanthropic goals
  • Manage a portfolio of major gifts prospects and donors
  • Develop and implement stewardship plans to recognize and retain donors
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and eight years of relevant experience or combination of education and experience
  • Proven track record of success in major gifts fundraising
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
