About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Administrative Coordinator to join our team at Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts. This is a full-time position.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the faculty, staff, and students under the supervision of the Administrative Manager. They will work closely with colleagues to prioritize and manage workload, provide comprehensive administrative support, and assist in daily operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administrative Coordination (25%): Partner with department chair, associate chair, and administrative colleagues to develop strategies for budgets, curriculum, and events.
  • Procurement and Budget Support: Administer and track all program budgets based on institutional policy and using the college's financial management systems.
  • Curricular Support: Assemble and update course offerings and schedules, assist in preparing annual course catalog revisions, and support course scheduling process.
  • Model Coordination: Plan model hiring by semester, source and hire casual worker models, supervise, onboard, and provide managerial support.
  • Art Supply Management and Facilities Oversight: Manage art supplies and supervise student workers.
Requirements
  • High school degree or equivalent and three years of relevant experience or the equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • Associate's degree preferred.
  • Experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Estimated Salary

$45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience.
