Job Title: Software Project Management Lead

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Software Project Management Lead to join our team at L3Harris. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for managing projects and programs with moderate impact on departmental results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct all phases of programs from inception through completion.
  • Drive program execution in order to achieve key business and financial objectives for orders, revenue recognition, operating income, and free cash flow for new, continuing, or current programs.
  • Responsible for the cost, schedule, and technical performance of moderately-sized company programs or subsystems of major programs.
  • Participate in the negotiation of contract and contract changes.
  • Coordinate the preparation of proposals, business plans, performance Statement of Work (SOW) and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract.
  • Act as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance.
  • Expand the product's capabilities with the customer.
  • Establish milestones and monitor adherence to master plans and schedules, identify program problems and obtain solutions, such as allocating resources or changing contractual specifications.
  • Direct the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing, and administrative areas.
  • Ability to travel 10% of the time.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience OR Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
  • PMP Certification required or must be obtained within first year in position.
  • Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Engineering background is highly preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Office, Strong communication and customer relationship skills.
