Pathlight Group is a leading provider of autism services, dedicated to supporting individuals with autism and their families. We are seeking an experienced Autism Program Coordinator to join our team.

Salary Range: $55,000 - $65,000 per year

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Autism Program Coordinator to support our DESE Program in western Massachusetts. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing training, information, family contacts, and referrals to other agencies; educating the community regarding autism; providing family support; working with community agencies to integrate children with autism; and assisting in the maintenance of the resource center.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to families by getting to know them, making family visits, developing support plans/intervention strategies, providing information on resources and services, maintaining contact and ongoing support as needed, and connecting families with other families for support.
  • Work with funding sources to plan and coordinate the delivery of support services to families, monitor the implementation of services, and maintain liaison with families as needed.
  • Responsible for timely and accurate data entry, developing and tracking family contracts and budgets.
  • Stay up-to-date with developments in the field through reading trade journals and books, attending workshops and webinars.
  • Coordinate hiring, training, and scheduling of therapists, skills trainers, and respite workers.
  • Provide information, education, and training on autism and community integration, which may include helping plan and implement conferences and workshops, speaking before community groups about autism, planning and coordinating family support/resource meetings, and contributing to a newsletter.
  • Maintain liaison and coordinate with other agencies, such as DDS, CBHI, and serving on committees.
  • Assist Program Managers and Director in developing organization procedures and best practices to improve program efficiency and quality of services.

Requirements:

  • Broad knowledge of a discipline involving the use of a broad theoretical knowledge equal to a complete 4-year college education.
  • Knowledge of autism and treatments.
  • Over 1 year up to and including 3 years working with children/adults with autism and their families.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation/vehicle.

Location: Based in Hampshire and Hampden Counties, with travel to Franklin and Berkshire Counties.
