Job Summary:The Counselor will be responsible for conducting comprehensive intake assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and facilitating individual and group counseling sessions. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic client care and support clients in achieving their recovery goals.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct comprehensive intake assessments and screenings within designated timeframes
- Develop individualized treatment plans aligned with state and agency standards
- Facilitate individual and group counseling sessions focused on recovery and improved functioning
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic client care
- Document all services provided in accordance with regulatory and agency requirements
- Manage caseload effectively, ensuring timely completion of all required documentation
- Assist clients through the transition process, including completion of transition summaries and plans
- Handle crisis situations as they arise, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills
- Represent the agency professionally within the community and maintain positive relationships with referral sources
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training to enhance clinical skills
- Adhere to ethical standards and agency policies in all aspects of work
- Hold credentials as a Qualified Addiction Professional as defined by the Missouri Credentialing Board, Inc. (MCB)
- Experience in mental health and substance use disorder treatment preferred
- Certified Alcohol Drug Counselor (CADC), Certified Reciprocal Alcohol Drug Counselor (CRADC), Certified Reciprocal Advanced Alcohol Drug Counselor (CRAADC), Registered Alcohol Drug Counselor (RADC), Certified Criminal Justice Addictions Professional (CCJP), or Credential of Co-Occurring
- Valid driver's license in state of residency required
- Willingness to become licensed in additional states
- Comfort with providing telehealth services
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively with diverse client populations
- Proficiency in crisis management and de-escalation techniques
