Salem-Keizer Public Schools seeks a skilled School Counselor to join our team. As a licensed guidance professional, you will play a vital role in promoting academic achievement, career decision-making, personal-social growth, and community contribution among students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive guidance and counseling program that addresses the diverse needs of students.
- Collaborate with school staff, parents, and community members to provide support and resources for students.
- Act as a consultant to school staff, providing guidance on student development and academic support.
- Provide individual and group counseling sessions to students, addressing academic, career, and personal-social concerns.
- Develop and maintain relationships with community agencies and organizations to provide resources and support for students.
Requirements:
- Valid Counseling Certificate required.
- Experience working with diverse student populations and communities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with school staff and community members.
